Dr. MaryAnn Hawkins
MaryAnn and her husband Jim, retired to Chico, CA in 2021. She has served the Church of God as pastor, missionary, and educator. Anderson University was the final stop of four decades of ministry. MaryAnn served AU as Professor of Intercultural Studies and Dean of the School of Theology and Christian Ministry. She holds academic degrees from Oklahoma Wesleyan, Azusa Pacific University, and Fuller Theological College.
Hawkins has been engaged with Christian Women Connection (aka Women of the Church of God; aka Women’s Missionary Society) since the mid-70s. She has personally been on the receiving end of gifts from the Linen Closet as a missionary to East Africa. She has also been engaged with the Wesleyan Holiness Women Clergy, serving on their Board of Directors for 13 years.
Hawkins was credentialed in the Church of God in 1987. She is passionate about women being engaged in the ministry of the church and ministry across the artificial barriers of race, age, gender, and socio-economics.
