Tim serves as the pastor of North Modesto Church of God in California’s Central Valley, bringing a lifetime of ministry experience and a deep love for the local church. Raised in San Jose, he and his wife Paula have been married for 42 years and enjoy life with their two sons and two grandchildren.

A scholar at heart and a pastor in practice, Tim spent thirty-three years teaching in colleges and seminaries after completing his PhD in New Testament Exegesis at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where he studied under renowned New Testament scholar I. Howard Marshall. His ministry journey began in 1979 as a youth pastor and has continued through decades of preaching, teaching, and equipping leaders.

Tim loves the church, treasures the Scriptures, and—true to his Modesto home—never turns down a good taco.
